- Role Description
- This role is for a Tax Analyst responsible for supporting tax reporting, compliance, and financial analysis activities. In this position, you will help ensure that tax records, calculations, and documentation are accurate while supporting the organization's compliance with applicable tax regulations and internal policies.
- As a Tax Analyst, you will work closely with finance, accounting, and business teams to prepare tax-related reports, review financial information, and assist with tax filings and documentation. You will analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and support tax planning and reporting processes.
- The role involves maintaining accurate tax records, researching tax regulations, and assisting with audits or compliance reviews when required. You will also help improve tax-related processes and ensure that documentation is complete and properly maintained.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting principles are essential for success in this role. This position focuses on tax analysis, compliance support, and financial reporting rather than legal advisory or strategic tax consulting.
- The Tax Analyst plays an important role in helping the organization maintain tax compliance, improve reporting accuracy, and support sound financial management.
- Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax-related reports and documentation
- Analyze financial data to support tax calculations and reporting
- Assist with tax filings and compliance activities
- Maintain accurate tax records and supporting documentation
- Research tax regulations and monitor relevant legislative updates
- Support internal and external tax audits when required
- Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams on tax matters
- Assist with process improvements and reporting efficiency initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable tax regulations
- Qualifications
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Basic understanding of taxation and accounting principles
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial reporting tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to analyze financial information and identify discrepancies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with tax reporting or accounting software is a plus
- Educational background in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is preferred
