Position Summary

DANE is seeking a highly motivated System Analyst to join the Data Management team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Information and Business Analytics team to build ML models and AI solutions, configure data pipelines, and drive innovation. Responsibilities include collecting stakeholder requirements, translating them into action plans, and developing data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.

Position Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize machine learning models and configure data pipelines.
• Collaborate with functional experts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and deploy models in production environments.
• Monitor and maintain deployed models for accuracy, performance, and reliability.
• Work with datasets and cloud platforms to build efficient data pipelines.
• Stay current with AI/ML research and incorporate findings into development.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Develop and maintain reports using Power BI Paginated Reports builder.
• Support development and enhancement of reports and dashboards.
• Assist in configuration and management of database/system connections.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science or related field (Master's preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML development including model design, training, and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries: Pandas, NumPy, NLTK, SciPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, JobLib, Jupyter Notebook, scikit-learn, or similar.
• Knowledge of Azure subscription, Azure Machine Learning workspace, and Azure App Services.
• Experience with GitHub for version control.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with server-side security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands: Mostly sedentary work with periods of light activity. Ability to stand for short periods; lift and carry up to 20 pounds; climb stairs; bend, reach, hold, grasp, and turn objects; operate computer keyboards. Ability to speak normally and use normal or aided vision and hearing.

Compensation & Benefits

Work environment: Primarily indoors in a standard office setting. Moderate noise level. Work subject to frequent interruptions.
