- Position Summary
- We're looking for a data-driven, proactive Supply Chain Analyst who enjoys solving problems, uncovering insights, and making an impact. In this role, you'll help ensure we have the right products in the right place at the right time by balancing customer demand, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- You'll partner closely with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, and key suppliers to develop forecasts, optimize inventory strategies, and improve overall supply chain performance. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and enjoys leveraging data, ERP systems, and reporting tools to improve planning processes and supply chain visibility.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze customer demand trends and develop forecasts to support business needs.
- Work closely with Sales to understand customer activity, market changes, and upcoming demand shifts.
- Manage planning parameters within our ERP system to help achieve service goals while maintaining healthy inventory levels.
- Monitor forecast performance and identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy.
- Review product lines and recommend inventory strategies, including make-to-stock and make-to-order approaches.
- Determine appropriate inventory targets and safety stock levels to support both customer service and operational efficiency.
- Share forecasts and planning information with key suppliers to improve responsiveness and continuity of supply.
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide visibility into inventory, demand, and overall supply chain performance.
- Analyze sales, operational, inventory, and marketing data to support informed business decisions.
- Support and lead product costing activities within SAP.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning processes and operational performance.
- Maintain compliance with quality standards and ISO procedures.
- Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with large data sets, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Understanding of inventory management and forecasting principles.
- Ability to identify trends, interpret data, and make recommendations.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards, preferably in Power BI.
- ERP experience required; SAP experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, inventory management, business analytics, or a similar analytical role.
- Experience with forecasting, inventory control, and ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
