Role Overview:

We are seeking a data-driven, proactive Supply Chain Analyst II (Materials Mgmt Analyst II) to evaluate inventory levels, manage supplier purchase orders, and optimize material flow across our manufacturing and distribution operations in Nebraska City, NE. In this mid-level operational role, you will analyze supply chain metrics, collaborate with cross-functional leadership, and execute strategic material planning to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and ensure seamless production continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management & Replenishment: Monitor daily inventory health, analyze stock variance, establish optimal safety stock targets, and execute automated MRP replenishment orders to keep pace with demand.
  • Production & Capacity Alignment: Partner closely with master schedulers, procurement specialists, and plant operations leaders to balance incoming raw material supply with live build schedules.
  • Cost & E&O Mitigation: Routinely audit inventory to identify excess and obsolete (E&O) material, implementing aggressive disposition and mitigation strategies to reduce overall holding costs.
  • Supplier Performance Monitoring: Evaluate vendor on-time delivery (OTD) and quality performance metrics, proactively troubleshooting supply chain bottlenecks and shipping delays.
  • Analytics & KPI Reporting: Build and deliver monthly supply chain dashboards, inventory turn reports, lead-time analyses, and executive-level performance metrics to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Process Optimization: Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, implement Kanban pulled-inventory systems, and refine warehouse material flows to maximize throughput efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–4 years of progressive experience in materials management, inventory control, purchasing, or production planning within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Technical & Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in enterprise ERP platforms (such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards) and Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, VLOOKUPs, index/match, pivot tables, and analytical modeling).
  • Supply Chain Concepts: Strong foundational knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, Kanban execution, continuous improvement methodologies, and statistical safety stock calculation formulas.
  • Analytical & Communication Acumen: Exceptional problem-solving and quantitative capabilities paired with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional initiatives.
