The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Supervisory Budget Analyst, GS-0560-11 to work at 355 CES/CSS on Offutt AFB, Nebraska

Supervises the Resources Section staff, planning, directing, organizing, and controlling daily operations. Manages development, implementation, and oversight of the Civil Engineering Squadron’s budget and financial resources.

Salary Range: $75,425 - $98,058

Qualifications/Requirements

You will serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to Resources Section of Civil Engineering. This position is responsible for development, implementation, and management of the CE Squadron’s budget and financial resources.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.
• Safeguards sensitive budget-related information and/or files.
• This is a Financial Management Level 2 (2, GS-10-13) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.

• Knowledge of commonly used budgetary methods, practices, procedures, regulations, policies, processes (as well as other AF, MAJCOM, and installation guides which apply) to formulate, justify, and execute the budget for assigned budget accounts or identify and refer those reprogramming actions which require prior approval at higher echelons.
• Knowledge of budget information systems technology and automated data processing concepts and applications to maintain or manipulate budget computer applications and systems, perform quality check of budget systems, and make recommendations on process improvements that will optimize system utilization.
• Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze data to prepare budget estimates, develop alternatives, and make recommendations to resolve budget/funding problems.
• Knowledge of missions, functions, goals, objectives, work processes, and sources of funding pertinent to installation programs/organizations.
• Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
