- Role Description
- The Subscription Growth Specialist / Membership Marketing Specialist / Recurring Revenue Marketing Analyst drives customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue growth for subscription or membership-based products and services. This role uses customer data, lifecycle marketing, offer strategy, and performance analysis to increase subscriber value and build sustainable recurring revenue.
- The position works closely with Product, CRM, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Analytics, Finance, and Operations teams to improve the full member lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing acquisition and retention campaigns, analysing subscriber behaviour, refining membership offers, managing renewal and win-back initiatives, supporting pricing and promotional tests, and improving customer communications.
- The role monitors key subscription metrics such as conversion, activation, churn, renewal, retention, average revenue per user, and customer lifetime value. It translates findings into practical recommendations that improve customer experience, reduce churn, strengthen loyalty, and support predictable revenue growth.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, E-commerce, Data Analytics, Communications, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in subscription marketing, membership marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, customer retention, recurring revenue, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of subscription and membership business models, including acquisition, activation, engagement, renewal, churn, retention, and customer lifetime value.
- Experience planning and executing subscriber-acquisition, onboarding, retention, renewal, win-back, upsell, or loyalty campaigns.
- Ability to analyse subscriber behaviour, customer segments, conversion funnels, churn patterns, and revenue trends.
- Strong understanding of subscription metrics such as MRR, ARR, churn rate, renewal rate, retention rate, ARPU, CAC, LTV, and conversion rate.
- Experience with CRM, marketing-automation, customer-data, or subscription-management platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Braze, Klaviyo, Chargebee, Zuora, Recurly, or similar tools.
- Ability to create audience segments, lifecycle journeys, campaign briefs, testing plans, and customer communications.
- Experience improving membership offers, pricing, promotions, bundles, incentives, or upgrade paths is advantageous.
- Familiarity with web analytics, conversion tracking, attribution, dashboards, Excel, Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Ability to develop clear reports and recommendations for marketing, product, finance, and senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking, customer-focused judgement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills across cross-functional teams.
- Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, media, consumer subscriptions, marketplaces, loyalty programmes, or digital memberships is an advantage.
