About the Team
The Strategy & Analytics team focuses on systematically improving our customer and service provider experience and increasing the efficiency of our Operations organization, which comprises 500+ contractors across Growth and Customer Care teams. We are the source of truth on analytics and analytical tools.
This team is a vehicle to bring in top analytics talent to our business. This role will have high visibility and work with stakeholders in operations, product, and finance. Potential career paths are rising within Strategy & Analytics or moving into a GM-style role owning a P&L in Growth or Care.
We are looking for a Strategy Analyst to join our Strategy & Analytics team to drive new projects in the Operations organization with a rigorous analytics lens.
What you will do:
- Own performance measurement and recurring reporting for the Operations team's portfolio of initiatives, working with Growth and Engineering stakeholders to:
- Own metric definitions and data collection for the programs the team is accountable for, and operationalize reporting so performance is tracked on a fixed cadence rather than assembled on request
- Maintain dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and adding new views and data cuts as requested by business stakeholders
- Prepare and distribute weekly reporting, including key operating KPIs, proactively highlighting where a number has moved and what caused it
- Own measurement for the team's experiment portfolio, partnering with Data Analysts to:
- Scope tests and pilots
- Produce experiment readouts and turn a winning test into a documented playbook the operating team can run
- Build and maintain forecasting and capacity models that help leadership make data-driven decisions on headcount, targets, and resource allocation, including the weekly refresh, reconciliation, and publication of the outputs used in leadership reviews
- Size and pressure-test new opportunities: build the model behind a business case, state the assumptions and where each one came from, and revise the number when the inputs change
- Own the integrity of what the team publishes — maintain a source-of-truth record of what each headline metric means, which table and field it comes from, and the query that reproduces it; when a number is found to be wrong, correct it at the source and everywhere it has already been quoted
- Support the strategic planning process with ad hoc analysis and deep dives for Operations and Growth leadership, including root-causing why a key metric moved unexpectedly
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar or related role within Strategy, Business Operations, Finance, Data Analytics, or another analytical function
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools, particularly Metabase (or similar tools like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Working knowledge of A/B testing fundamentals
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with SQL for data analysis
- Experience working with AI (Claude, ChatGPT, etc) or eagerness to learn
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy, including the instinct to check whether a filter or exclusion applies evenly to treatment and control
- Exceptionally strong written communication for executive audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines
Perks and Benefits
- Health insurance fully covered by the company.
- Parental leave .
- Flexible / unlimited PTO policy.
- Cleaning membership perk – Free Homeaglow membership with complimentary cleanings. Enjoy up to 2x cleanings a month, capped at $200 USD per cleaning.
