Job Opportunity: Strategic Planning Analyst at Muzom Transportation, Inc.
Job Position: Strategic Planning Analyst
Muzom Transportation, Inc. is seeking a highly specialized Strategic Planning Analyst with advanced knowledge in strategic planning, project management, policy development, regulatory compliance, and complex problem-solving techniques. This role is critical to the strategic growth and operational efficiency of our logistics and transportation services, with a specific focus on policy development and regulatory compliance.
Core Duties And Responsibilities:
- Strategic Analysis and Planning (30%): Conduct comprehensive analyses of market trends, industry benchmarks, and competitive landscapes within the flatbed logistical transportation and refrigerated/temperature-controlled trucking sectors using advanced statistical tools and methodologies. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth, focusing on integrating AI-powered real-time routing and dispatch, as well as in-house Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to reduce outsourcing costs. Prepare detailed strategic plans and forecasts that incorporate quantitative data and qualitative insights, supporting the expansion into new transportation sectors and the development of innovative, cost-effective solutions.
- Data Management and Analytics (25%): Manage and analyze large datasets related to logistics and transportation operations and policy using SQL, Python, and R, particularly focusing on the new flatbed and refrigerated transportation services.Design and develop predictive models to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve service delivery in these expanding sectors. Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to present findings to stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex data.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting (20%): Perform in-depth financial analyses to evaluate the performance of transportation assets, particularly in the new flatbed and refrigerated/temperature-controlled trucking services, and in-house TMS, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the financial health and operational performance of the organization.
- Policy Development and Regulatory Compliance (15%): Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in the new flatbed and refrigerated transportation sectors. Identify and address compliance gaps, which is critical for maintaining regulatory compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of policies with organizational goals and objectives, focusing on the implementation of in-house Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to streamline route planning, optimize load management, and improve real-time tracking. These enhancements aim to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Advanced Quantitative Project Management (10%): Lead and manage strategic projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of project objectives, particularly in the implementation of in-house TMS. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, develop project plans, and allocate resources effectively. Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Public Policy, or a related discipline. A Master's degree in these fields is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced statistical analysis, strategic initiative development, data management and analytics, data visualization, and project management.
- A solid background in quantitative analysis and problem-solving, financial analysis and reporting.
- Comprehensive understanding of strategic planning, project management, financial analysis, complex problem-solving techniques, policy development, and regulatory compliance.
- Substantial experience in project management, with the capability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously and ensure their timely completion.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Salary:
An annual wage ranging from $90,896.00 to $100,000.00
