About the Opportunity:
The STAFF MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER role is responsible for translating AI research into robust, scalable machine learning systems that operate efficiently under production constraints. This position ensures that models are deployable, observable, and performant while collaborating across teams to integrate machine learning solutions into products. The role is vital for maintaining system reliability and driving measurable improvements in user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end ML system execution including data pipelines, training workflows, evaluation systems, inference architecture, and deployment
- Fine-tune and adapt models with advanced techniques such as LoRA, QLoRA, SFT, DPO, and distillation
- Design and operate scalable inference systems balancing latency, cost, and reliability
- Develop and maintain data systems for high-quality synthetic and real-world training data
- Implement evaluation pipelines addressing performance, robustness, safety, and bias
- Oversee production deployment focusing on GPU optimization, memory efficiency, latency reduction, and scaling
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML systems into backend, mobile, and desktop products
- Make pragmatic trade-offs to deliver improvements rapidly and safely
- Operate under constraints of latency, cost, reliability, and safety
Requirements:
- Experience building and deploying real machine learning systems used by end users
- Required expertise in artificial intelligence
- Knowledge of large model behavior and failure modes
- Proficiency in writing production-quality code
- Self-directed with strong ownership and pragmatic approach
- Effective communicator and collaborator in small, high-trust teams
- Familiarity with GPU-based training and inference, JAX, Python, and PyTorch
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
USD 150000 - USD 170000 yearly
