About the Opportunity:
The STAFF ANALYTICS ENGINEER will design and evolve scalable data architectures and tools that turn raw data into reliable, documented data products. This role ensures data accuracy and accessibility by building infrastructure to support AI tools, enabling self-service analytics, and establishing quality standards. The engineer collaborates with technical teams and business stakeholders to align data solutions with organizational needs and influences the data roadmap to drive informed decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain high-scale dbt models and data architecture standards.
- Implement governance features to enable accurate AI querying.
- Develop natural-language-driven analytics tools for self-service data access.
- Address recurring data issues with reusable frameworks.
- Define quality criteria for data products, including testing and freshness checks.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Scientists, and business teams.
- Participate in roadmap and goal-setting decisions, communicating tradeoffs.
Requirements:
- 7+ years in analytics engineering or related data roles with end-to-end ownership.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for scalable and maintainable data solutions.
- Advanced experience with dbt, including team practices for testing and documentation.
- Strong understanding of data architecture and ability to communicate tradeoffs.
- Experience mentoring and elevating team capabilities.
- Expertise with cloud data warehouses such as AWS Athena, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Familiarity with BI tools and semantic layer management.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Healthcare industry knowledge is a strong plus.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
The salary range for this role is $195,000 - $230,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus.
