2. About the Opportunity:

The Staff Analyst, AI serves as a strategic analytics partner for teams developing and managing AI products aimed at patient interaction and internal clinical support. This role is responsible for measuring AI product performance, assessing commercial and clinical impacts, and guiding experimentation and measurement strategies. The position directly supports data-driven decision-making to optimize AI-driven health experiences.

3. Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic analytics partnership to AI Product stakeholders to influence roadmap and investment decisions.
  • Design and oversee experimentation strategies for AI product launches and iterations.
  • Apply causal inference and quasi-experimental methods to evaluate AI impact when randomized tests are not feasible.
  • Develop and maintain metrics frameworks and measurement plans for AI product use cases.
  • Collaborate with ML/Applied AI teams to assess model performance and translate model outputs into actionable business metrics.
  • Analyze commercial impacts such as cost savings and efficiency gains related to AI initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure data integrity and proper tracking.
  • Use Python or R with SQL to create scalable analytical solutions beyond standard dashboards.
  • Design intuitive dashboards to enable self-service access to AI product metrics.
  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify performance gaps and opportunities in AI products.
  • Ensure data quality and documentation consistency while mentoring junior team members.

4. Requirements:

  • 8+ years in analytics, data science, or related quantitative fields.
  • Bachelor''s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years designing and analyzing A/B tests, specifically for AI/ML-driven products.
  • Experience evaluating ML model outputs and integrating them into product metrics.
  • Extensive collaboration with data engineering teams and familiarity with production pipelines.
  • Strong expertise in experimental design and advanced statistical methods.
  • Knowledge of subscription business models, including retention and churn analysis.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency with Looker or Tableau.
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven influence on product strategy and a proactive, organized approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with conversational AI or LLM-based products.
  • Familiarity with telehealth and subscription healthcare models.
  • Experience with experimentation platforms such as GrowthBook.
  • Skills in survival analysis and time-to-event modeling.
  • Knowledge of dbt, Airflow, and Databricks.
