Key Responsibilities (Technical)
Administer Power BI tenant, workspaces, capacities, access controls, and governance policies.
Manage On-Premises Data Gateway setup, clustering, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Support data connectivity and refresh across Folder, SQL Server, Snowflake, and SharePoint sources.
Implement automation using Azure Service Principal, Power BI REST APIs, PowerShell, and Azure Automation.
Manage Org App and Workspace App publishing, audience permissions, versioning, and rollout communication.
Enforce security standards including RBAC, RLS, sensitivity labels, and audit compliance.
Support deployment pipelines/CI-CD and maintain operational runbooks and SOPs.
Install, Upgrade and patch of On-Premises Gateway.
Install, Upgrade and Testing Power BI Desktop on enterprise windows machines.
Maintain high Refresh success rate of all the reports across tenant.
Reduction in manual admin tasks through automation.
Zero high-severity audit/security findings related to Power BI operations.

As a BI Team Lead candidate is expected to
Manage a Team spread across multiple BI Applications in Global delivery model

Required Qualifications
10+ years in Power BI administration or BI platform operations.
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Gateway administration and troubleshooting.
Proven experience with Azure AD/Entra app registrations and Service Principal-based authentication.
Experience with Power BI automation (REST API/PowerShell).
Working knowledge of SQL Server, Snowflake, SharePoint, and file-based ingestion patterns.
Strong incident management and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and XMLA endpoints.
Experience with enterprise governance/compliance frameworks.
Relevant Microsoft certifications (Power BI/Azure).
