- Sr. Power BI Admin

- Key Responsibilities (Technical)
- Administer Power BI tenant, workspaces, capacities, access controls, and governance policies.
- Manage On-Premises Data Gateway setup, clustering, monitoring, and incident resolution.
- Support data connectivity and refresh across Folder, SQL Server, Snowflake, and SharePoint sources.
- Implement automation using Azure Service Principal, Power BI REST APIs, PowerShell, and Azure Automation.
- Manage Org App and Workspace App publishing, audience permissions, versioning, and rollout communication.
- Enforce security standards including RBAC, RLS, sensitivity labels, and audit compliance.
- Support deployment pipelines/CI-CD and maintain operational runbooks and SOPs.
- Install, Upgrade and patch of On-Premises Gateway.
- Install, Upgrade and Testing Power BI Desktop on enterprise windows machines.
- Maintain high Refresh success rate of all the reports across tenant.
- Reduction in manual admin tasks through automation.
- Zero high-severity audit/security findings related to Power BI operations.

- Manage a Team spread across multiple BI Applications in Global delivery model
- Drive delivery excellence through strong ownership, structured execution, and proactive risk management.
- Candidate must enable high-performing teams via coaching, skill development, and motivation.
- Effective communication and stakeholder alignment
- Collaboration across teams and resource alignment is essential for seamless execution.
- Additionally, innovation, continuous improvement, and strong leadership mindset differentiate high-impact leaders
- Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in Power BI administration or BI platform operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Gateway administration and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience with Azure AD/Entra app registrations and Service Principal-based authentication.
- Experience with Power BI automation (REST API/PowerShell).
- Working knowledge of SQL Server, Snowflake, SharePoint, and file-based ingestion patterns.
- Strong incident management and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and XMLA endpoints.
- Experience with enterprise governance/compliance frameworks.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (Power BI/Azure).
