About the Opportunity:

The SR. MANAGER, ANALYTICS & BI ENGINEERING leads the engineering function responsible for enterprise metric definitions and reporting delivery. This role is critical to establishing consistent, certified metrics and ensuring high-quality reporting assets that support data-driven decision-making. The position oversees both internal and external teams, implements engineering standards, and builds analytics capabilities across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Own the semantic layer as the source for enterprise metric definitions, ensuring design, certification, and enforcement.
• Implement metric definitions in collaboration with data governance and product functions.
• Manage quality, consistency, and certification of metrics and reports.
• Ensure correctness, performance, and maintainability of reporting assets.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for metrics and reporting.
• Manage workspace structure, dataset certification, and access security.
• Lead and mentor analytics engineers, BI developers, and analysts.
• Establish metrics engineering as a formal discipline with standards and career paths.
• Build delivery models and intake processes for metrics and reporting.
• Lead analytics functions serving business areas with certified metrics-based reporting.
• Develop analytics capabilities within business functions and transition ownership.
• Direct external BI delivery resources, handling capacity and quality.
• Provide metrics and reporting engineering support to cross-functional data teams.
• Develop reusable semantic models and reporting patterns for consistency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in enterprise metrics, reporting, and BI solutions.
• 3–5+ years managing analytics or BI engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik).
• Proficiency with semantic layer or OLAP modeling technologies.
• Experience managing external delivery partners and contractor benches.
• Proven ability to lead analytics teams serving business functions.
• Experience building analytics capabilities within business units preferred.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, preferably AWS, and dbt-modeled data.
• Expertise in dimensional and semantic modeling, metric definition, SQL, and BI calculation languages.
• Strong understanding of BI platform architecture and governance.
• Ability to create scalable delivery standards and patterns.
• Effective leadership, coaching, and talent development skills.
• Skilled at balancing technical excellence with operational stability.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
