REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• -8+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting complex enterprise applications or government systems.
• -Proven experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirements.
• -Strong technical writing skills with experience creating process flows, requirements documentation, user guides, and system documentation.
• -Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and cross-functional meetings with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• -Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes, identify gaps and risks, and recommend process improvements and system enhancements.

JOB DESCRIPTION

An employer is looking for senior-level Business Analyst who excels at bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams in a complex public safety environment. The Senior Business Analyst will support the maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of the Criminal History System (MNI/CCH), which manages fingerprint and non-fingerprint supported criminal history information. Working under minimal supervision, this individual will lead requirements gathering efforts, facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops, analyze business processes, identify opportunities for operational improvements, and document clear, concise functional and technical requirements. The role requires close collaboration with agency leadership, IT teams, software vendors, quality assurance teams, law enforcement partners, and external agencies to support ongoing system operations and project initiatives. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst will serve as a technical writer, producing and maintaining high-quality documentation, analyzing system issues and risks, developing recommendations for resolution, and ensuring information is communicated effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Success in this role requires strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities while fostering trusted relationships across business, operational, and technical teams.

$48-50/hr based off of experience.
