- Payout: $119,200 – $149,000 annually
- Role Overview
- We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and enterprise data integrations that support business-critical analytics and system integrations. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable cloud-based data solutions while ensuring high standards for data quality, governance, and performance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance data pipelines and system integrations.
- Build reliable and resilient data integration solutions in collaboration with cross-functional project teams.
- Partner with business stakeholders and Product Owners to define requirements, provide technical guidance, and estimate delivery efforts.
- Develop automated testing and deployment processes for data pipelines and integrations.
- Provide database support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems related to enterprise data platforms.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including data flow and data lineage documentation.
- Support production environments by providing Tier 3 operational support and troubleshooting data quality issues.
- Ensure enterprise data quality by analyzing, monitoring, and resolving warehouse and data mart issues.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Implement data governance and master data management principles throughout data pipeline development.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5–8 years of experience building enterprise data pipelines and system integrations, including at least 3 years in a cloud environment.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) or Snowflake (Iceberg Tables, Horizon Catalog).
- Strong knowledge of lakehouse architecture, Medallion Architecture, ETL/ELT orchestration, and data modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in PySpark, advanced SQL, and Python for data engineering and automation.
- Experience with Airflow, Databricks Lakeflow, Snowflake Openflow, dbt, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform services supporting modern data platforms.
- Experience with data governance, security, performance optimization, streaming or batch processing, and AI/ML enablement technologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is based.
