Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Business Analyst to lead business analysis and requirements engineering efforts across complex Agile programs. This role serves as a strategic partner to Product Owners, Solution Architects, stakeholders, and Agile delivery teams, ensuring the successful design, development, and delivery of technology solutions that drive business value.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Agile methodologies, product delivery, data analysis, and emerging AI-enabled business analysis practices. This individual will play a critical role in shaping product strategy, refining requirements, optimizing delivery processes, and mentoring fellow analysts while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesAgile Product & Requirements Leadership
- Lead feasibility assessments for complex business initiatives, leveraging data analytics and AI-assisted research to evaluate solutions and recommend strategic approaches.
- Conduct business process reviews and gap analyses to identify opportunities for operational improvements and product enhancements.
- Partner with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Agile teams to decompose epics into detailed user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
- Own and maintain requirements documentation, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
- Ensure requirements are prioritized appropriately within product backlogs to maximize business value and delivery effectiveness.
Data Analysis & Decision Support
- Lead complex business and data analysis initiatives to identify trends, business opportunities, and solution recommendations.
- Utilize SQL, data warehouse technologies, AI-powered analytics platforms, and reporting tools to support data-driven decision making.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Support the development of KPIs, OKRs, and performance measurements aligned with strategic business objectives.
Agile Program Delivery
- Collaborate with Product Owners, leadership teams, and business stakeholders to define product visions, roadmaps, and delivery objectives.
- Support release planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies across multiple teams and delivery streams.
- Communicate program objectives, milestones, release schedules, risks, and progress updates through dashboards, reports, and executive presentations.
- Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies, delivery risks, and architectural considerations to ensure successful program execution.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Define acceptance criteria, testing frameworks, and validation strategies for product increments and releases.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts, ensuring delivered solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Analysis function through process optimization and Agile best practices.
- Champion adoption of AI-enabled productivity tools and innovative analysis techniques that improve efficiency and delivery outcomes.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and coach Business Analysts on Agile analysis methodologies, requirements management, user story development, and AI-assisted analysis practices.
- Provide thought leadership regarding Agile business analysis standards, frameworks, and delivery best practices.
- Foster collaboration among business and technology stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role supporting technology initiatives.
- Proven experience in Agile environments with responsibility for requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and delivery.
- Experience supporting large-scale Agile programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience conducting business process analysis, data analysis, and solution design activities.
Certifications
One Or More Of The Following Certifications Is Required
- IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)
- PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM)
- Equivalent Agile or Business Analysis certification
Preferred Skills & CompetenciesBusiness Analysis & Agile Expertise
- Expert ability to translate business requirements into product roadmaps, user stories, process flows, and solution specifications.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting Program Increment (PI) Planning, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and multi-team delivery programs.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience leading backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder workshops.
Data & Technical Skills
- Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities.
- Experience working with enterprise data warehouses, reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar Agile lifecycle management platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
AI & Innovation
- Experience leveraging AI-powered business analysis and productivity tools.
- Understanding of AI-augmented requirements gathering, documentation generation, impact analysis, and workflow automation.
- Ability to design and improve intelligent analysis workflows that increase efficiency and decision quality.
