• Senior Business Analyst – Healthcare Finance
• Location: Chicago, IL
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 4 days onsite / 1 day remote

• We’re seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong healthcare finance background to serve as the functional bridge between Finance, Business Operations, and IT.
• This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who understands both the business and technical sides of healthcare financial data and can help leadership evaluate service line profitability, financial reporting, and General Ledger (GL) impacts.

• What You’ll Do
• Partner closely with Finance, Business Operations, and IT to translate business and financial requirements into actionable solutions.
• Analyze healthcare financial data and service line performance to support decisions around expansion, maintenance, or discontinuation of services.
• Work with IT report writers to translate financial requirements into accurate, validated reports.
• Review and validate financial data and reports with Finance stakeholders.
• Support high-priority financial and audit requests requiring quick turnaround.
• Assist with dictionary building and front-end application configuration.
• Lead projects and functional initiatives involving financial systems and healthcare applications.
• Serve as a trusted liaison between technical teams and Finance/business stakeholders.
• Analyze General Ledger activity and its impact on healthcare service lines and operations.

• Must-Have Qualifications
• Strong General Ledger (GL) experience within a healthcare environment.
• Experience in healthcare financial or business analysis.
• Familiarity with Revenue Cycle / Revenue Cycle Group (RCG) processes.
• Experience working with EHR or healthcare IT applications.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Finance, Business Operations, and IT.
• Ability to remain organized, patient, and resilient in a high-pressure environment with demanding financial and audit stakeholders.
• Confidence to challenge assumptions, communicate concerns professionally, and advocate for data accuracy.

• Nice to Have
• Experience with healthcare claims processing files, including 835 / 837.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Meditech or similar healthcare applications.

• Ideal Background
• The ideal candidate will come from a healthcare financial analysis, functional business analysis, or healthcare IT background and have substantial experience working with General Ledger data and financial reporting.

This role is particularly well suited for someone who enjoys translating complex financial requirements into clear technical requirements and helping business and IT teams work effectively together.
