Role Description BlueLine Manufacturing is looking for a full-time, on-site SQL & Business Intelligence Analyst in Scott, Louisiana. This position will help us better utilize the data within our ERP system to create useful reports, dashboards and management tools.
The primary focus of this position will be accessing and analyzing data using SQL, developing custom reports within our ERP system, and connecting ERP data to Microsoft Power BI.
Primary Responsibilities
• Write SQL queries to retrieve data from our Global Shop Solutions ERP database
• Understand and work with relationships between GSS database tables
• Develop and modify custom reports within Global Shop Solutions using SQL
• Connect Global Shop Solutions data to Microsoft Power BI
• Build Power BI dashboards and reports for management
• Use Power Query and DAX to organize, calculate and analyze business data
• Combine data from multiple ERP tables for operational and financial reporting
• Develop reports and KPIs related to production, labor efficiency, quoted vs. actual hours, machine utilization, scheduling, sales, purchasing, quality, inventory and profitability
• Troubleshoot existing SQL queries and reports
• Work directly with management to turn business questions into useful reports and dashboards
• Help automate reports that are currently created manually in Excel
Required or Strongly Preferred
• Strong SQL query-writing skills
• Experience working with relational databases and complex table relationships
• Experience extracting and reporting data from ERP or business systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Global Shop Solutions experience
• Microsoft Power BI
• DAX
• Power Query
• Manufacturing ERP experience
• Experience developing custom ERP reports and dashboards
We are not necessarily looking for a traditional software developer. We are looking for someone who is very comfortable working with databases and SQL and knows how to turn ERP data into useful business information.
The right person should be able to take a business question, determine how to retrieve the appropriate data from ERP or SQL, and present it in a useful report or Power BI dashboard.
