- Role Description This part-time remote role combines responsibilities of a Software Tester, QA Analyst, and Automation Engineer to support software systems used in slope protection and landslide mitigation projects. The role involves designing and executing test cases, performing manual and automated tests, and validating system functionality against requirements. The team member will document defects, analyze root causes, and collaborate with developers and project engineers to ensure high-quality, reliable software. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining test documentation, contributing to test plans, improving test coverage, and suggesting enhancements to testing processes and tools.
- Qualifications
- Candidates should have strong Software Testing and Test Execution skills, with experience validating features and workflows.
- Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance and Test Cases skills, including writing, organizing, and maintaining test scenarios.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret requirements, identify issues, and propose solutions.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, especially for web or desktop applications, is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar) is preferred.
- Knowledge of or interest in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or environmental protection software is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are required.
- A relevant degree or certification in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
