- Role Description
- The Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring that software products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, performance, and reliability. This role focuses on testing applications, identifying defects, improving software quality processes, and implementing automation solutions that enhance testing efficiency.
- You will create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to validate software applications across different platforms and environments. The role involves analyzing business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure products meet expected functionality and quality standards.
- A key responsibility is identifying, documenting, tracking, and verifying software defects throughout the development lifecycle. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to investigate issues, validate fixes, and support successful software releases.
- This position also involves developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and scripts to improve testing coverage, efficiency, and consistency. You will perform functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, API testing, system testing, and performance validation to ensure application stability.
- In addition, the Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing testing processes, promoting quality best practices, and supporting modern software delivery pipelines.
- Qualifications
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and quality assurance methodologies
- Knowledge of manual testing and test automation concepts
- Ability to design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify, document, and manage software defects effectively
- Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, system, and API testing
- Familiarity with automation testing tools and frameworks
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge for automation development
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality
- Ability to analyze requirements and validate business processes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
