Role Description This part-time, remote role as a Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer at POPULATION SERVICES INTERNATIONAL COTE D'IVOIRE focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions. The role involves designing, executing, and documenting test cases for web and mobile applications, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating with developers and product stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. The individual will perform functional, regression, and integration testing, participate in test planning and review sessions, and contribute to the development of automated test scripts where applicable. Day-to-day tasks also include maintaining test data and environments, tracking test progress and results, and supporting continuous improvement of quality assurance processes and standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Software Testing and Test Execution skills, including experience with manual and automated test activities.
Candidates should possess solid Quality Assurance and Test Cases skills, with the ability to design, document, and maintain clear, repeatable test scenarios.
Candidates should possess excellent Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret requirements, identify edge cases, and troubleshoot complex issues.
Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar) is beneficial.
Familiarity with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent) and scripting languages is an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, multicultural environment are required.
A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies is beneficial.
