- Role Description This part-time remote role combines responsibilities of Software Tester, QA Analyst, and Automation Engineer to support the quality and reliability of OPSE’s digital solutions. The role involves designing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases for web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing. The person in this position will analyze defects, document issues clearly, and collaborate with developers and product stakeholders to ensure timely resolution. They will help build and maintain automated test suites, contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, and participate in reviews of requirements and specifications to identify risks and testability early in the lifecycle.
- Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with experience applying structured testing methodologies.
- Ability to design, document, and maintain clear and reusable Test Cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Proficient in Test Execution, including functional, regression, and integration testing in agile environments.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for identifying root causes, interpreting test results, and recommending improvements.
- Experience with test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with issue tracking and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time schedules effectively, and communicate clearly with dispersed teams.
- Relevant education or certifications in software testing, quality assurance, or related fields are an asset.
