Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Software Tester / QA Analyst / Automation Engineer. The role involves planning and executing test cases, performing manual and automated software testing, and verifying that applications meet functional and non-functional requirements. The individual will review requirements and technical specifications, identify test scenarios, document defects, and collaborate with developers and project teams to ensure timely resolution of issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining test documentation, contributing to quality assurance processes and standards, analyzing test results, and suggesting improvements to enhance system reliability and user experience. The role may also involve setting up and maintaining test environments and using testing tools to support continuous integration and delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Software Testing and Quality Assurance skills, including familiarity with testing methodologies and best practices.
Candidates should possess Test Execution and Test Cases skills, including designing, executing, and maintaining test cases and test plans.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret results, identify root causes, and recommend improvements.
Experience with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG) is beneficial.
Understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with government, public sector, or large-scale enterprise systems is an advantage.
