Software Asset Management Analyst

Mroads is looking for a "Software Asset Management Analyst" for one of our direct clients in Memphis, TN. This is a hybrid role.

• Key Responsibilities
• Manage the full software asset lifecycle, including request, deployment, maintenance, renewal, and retirement
• Maintain accurate software inventory and license entitlement records
• Monitor and ensure compliance with software license agreements and vendor contracts
• Conduct internal license audits and support external vendor audits
• Identify opportunities for cost savings through optimization, rationalization, and reuse of licenses
• Track software usage and analyze consumption trends
• Support contract renewals and negotiations with data-driven recommendations
• Collaborate with IT teams on software packaging, deployment, and removal
• Provide regular reporting and dashboards on compliance, risk, and spend
• Stay current on licensing models and vendor terms (e.g., SaaS, subscription, cloud, on-prem)

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in software asset management, IT asset management,
• procurement, or licensing
• Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements
• Experience working with SAM or ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, Snow, Ivanti)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage complex datasets
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Attributes:

• SAM certifications (e.g., ITIL, IAITAM CSAM, Flexera certifications)
• Experience supporting enterprise-level vendor audits (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe)
• Knowledge of cloud and SaaS licensing models
• Experience working cross-functionally with procurement, finance, and legal teams
