About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Analyst to join our dynamic team at Water IT Security & Defense. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing effective security measures to protect our clients' digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection of critical information systems and to grow within a leading cybersecurity organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent are highly desirable. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record of handling security incidents, vulnerability assessments, and implementing security controls. Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) tools is essential. Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are also required.
Responsibilities
Monitor network traffic and analyze security alerts to detect potential threats or breaches. Respond promptly to security incidents, conducting thorough investigations and documenting findings. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in client systems. Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with IT teams to deploy security solutions, such as firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion prevention systems. Maintain and update security tools and software to ensure optimal performance. Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on security awareness and best practices. Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology advancements to proactively enhance security measures.
