A professional services firm in New York City is seeking a new Senior Workday HRIS Analyst / Workday Functional Consultant. In this role, the Senior Workday HRIS Analyst / Workday Functional Consultant will support the administration and optimization of a complex Workday HCM environment.
About the Opportunity:
Assignment Length: 3 to 6 months
Setting: Hybrid (NYC Area; at least 4 days a week onsite; local candidates preferred!)
Responsibilities:
Own and maintain Workday Business Process workflows across core HR functions
Manage Workday master data, security-related business process routing, and data integrity activities
Partner with HR, Talent, Benefits, Payroll, and business stakeholders to support operational and strategic initiatives
Analyze and resolve complex Workday functional issues and process exceptions
Configure, test, and support business process enhancements and system changes
Develop and maintain self-service reporting, dashboards, and workforce analytics
Support Workday releases, testing cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives
Drive adoption of Workday self-service capabilities and best practices across the organization
Ensure compliance with data governance and HR operational standards
Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
5+ years of HRIS experience, including significant hands-on Workday HCM experience
Strong expertise supporting and maintaining Workday Business Processes in a production environment
Deep understanding of Workday core HCM data structures, organizational structures, and master data management
Experience supporting HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and workforce administration
Advanced knowledge of Workday reporting, dashboards, analytics, and self-service functionality
Proven ability to work directly with HR leadership and business stakeholders
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications:
Experience supporting large enterprise Workday environments
Exposure to Workday modules such as Talent, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, or Absence Management
Experience participating in Workday releases, UAT, and change management efforts
Previous consulting experience supporting multiple clients or business units
