  • A Senior Valuation Analyst is a high impact position with strong opportunities for career progression. A successful candidate will be able to juggle multiple tasks, communicate effectively with clients and the team, and complete high-quality work. This role will have the opportunity to work directly with both the firm’s Managers and Managing Directors depending on project needs. Due to the structure of our team, this role will be highly visible to clients.

Position Summary:

  • A Senior Valuation Analyst will provide valuation analysis and transaction consulting services for clients in a vast variety of industries. A Senior Analyst will experience immediate client contact, interacting daily with CEOs, CFOs, and their advisors. Vision’s valuation analysis and transaction consulting services help to support the sale of privately held companies to ESOPs across the country. A day in the life may include, but not be limited to, visiting client facilities, interacting with client management teams and their advisors, researching new industries, and using sophisticated financial models while preparing valuation analyses, written valuation reports, and transaction fairness opinions.
  • Vision is a growing company in need of additional staff to support the firm’s growth. This position will have an immediate impact on the firm through completion of transaction work and by providing support for annual updates.
  • Our Clients – Over 150 Companies, located across the County
  • Our team members get the opportunity to travel and visit with clients and advisors located in 30+ different states during our annual valuation process or transaction due diligence meetings. Based on workload, analysts may have the opportunity to visit locations such as:
  • Honolulu, Hawaii
  • San Diego, Los Angeles, or San Francisco, California
  • Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, Texas
  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • Our clients include but are not limited to: breweries, information technology, government contractors, specialty construction, retail, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, etc. The variety of industries, locations, management styles, and operating strategies, keeps our job extremely interesting and each day and project is unique.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing project support to Managers, Directors, and Managing Directors
  • Preparing, completing, and ensuring the accuracy of financial models and sophisticated valuation analyses
  • Preparing for and attending client field visits and management interviews
  • Communicating with company executives and their advisors during the valuation process
  • In some cases, overseeing the work of a valuation analyst in the analysis and report writing stages
  • Writing valuation reports and presentations

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years of business valuation experience required
  • ESOP valuation experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytic foundation with advanced understanding of financial statements and various valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, etc.)
  • Intermediate/advanced understanding of financial theory and general accounting issues
  • Proficiency at financial modeling with Microsoft Excel
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Excels in a team-oriented work environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time well while handling multiple projects
  • Shows creativity in problem solving
