Our team is retained by leading law firms to deliver defensible, litigation-ready analyses in matters involving shareholder disputes, matrimonial actions, M&A, RSUs, purchase price allocations, and economic damages.

  • Prepare and review comprehensive valuation reports consistent with AICPA, ASA, NACVA, and USPAP standards.
  • Analyze financial statements, forecasts, and industry/economic data to support defensible conclusions.
  • Assist in preparing economic damages models in litigation contexts.
  • Collaborate with senior experts to deliver opinions and testimony support for attorneys and courts.
  • Communicate findings clearly, both in writing and in client presentations.

READ CAREFULLY - DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE ALL OF THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on business valuation experience, including report preparation for:
  • Shareholder disputes
  • Divorce/equitable distribution
  • RSUs and executive compensation
  • M&A transactions
  • Purchase price allocations

Credentials (One or more are required):

  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser – Business Valuation)
  • ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation)
  • CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Skills & Attributes
  • Demonstrated mastery of valuation methodologies and financial modeling.
  • Strong writing skills with proven ability to produce litigation-quality reports.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Capital IQ, TagniFi, PitchBook, or similar.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small-firm environment.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary: $125,000 – $150,000 annually
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off & life insurance
  • Professional development and continuing education support
  • Why Join MSG?
  • At MSG, you will work on complex, high-profile cases alongside nationally recognized experts. This is an opportunity to refine your skills, earn exposure in litigation matters, and build a career in a practice that values excellence, integrity, and innovation.

Note: This is not an entry-level position. It is an in-person postion in our NYC office. Applicants without 3–5 years of direct business valuation report-writing experience and with business valuation designations will not be considered.
