Senior Tax Analyst

• Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
• Compensation: Up to $150,000 Base Salary + Bonus

• Our client, a growing and highly successful retail organization, is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in tax compliance, tax accounting, planning initiatives, and process improvement efforts within a complex multi-state business environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in corporate taxation, a proactive mindset, and a desire to partner cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operational teams
• .Key Responsibilitie
• sSupport the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax filings while ensuring compliance with all applicable deadlines
• .Assist with the quarterly and annual tax provision process, including supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation of tax positions
• .Analyze legislative and regulatory tax developments and assess their potential impact on the organization’s tax strategy and reporting requirements
• .Conduct technical tax research and prepare clear, concise memoranda supporting conclusions and recommendations
• .Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced tax professionals, reviewing workpapers and promoting best practices
• .Drive process enhancements by identifying inefficiencies, strengthening internal controls, and implementing solutions that improve accuracy and scalability
• .Participate in special projects, tax planning initiatives, acquisitions, restructuring activities, and other strategic tax matters as needed
• .Qualification
• sBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• .3+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry
• .Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance and tax accounting principles
• .Experience with ASC 740 tax provision calculations
• .Advanced Excel skills and experience with tax software applications
