Senior Security Analyst – North Charleston, SC | Hybrid

• No Relocation - Must be currently located in or near Charleston, SC

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst to join our team of IT professionals in North Charleston, SC.

This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with strong network security, security operations, compliance, incident investigation, and technical implementation experience to play a key role in protecting critical systems and member data.

• Ideal Candidate
• The ideal candidate is a senior cybersecurity/network security professional with 8+ years of hands-on security experience, preferably in a financial services, banking, credit union, or other regulated environment. They should be someone who can operate security tools, investigate incidents, identify root causes, remediate vulnerabilities, and help lead enterprise security initiatives, not simply someone with general IT or network administration experience.

• What You’ll Do
• Monitor and respond to security events, alerts, and IT service requests
• Identify, investigate, and resolve security violations and potential incidents
• Perform security assessments, audits, testing, and forensic/root-cause analysis
• Analyze network security requirements and support the design, integration, and implementation of security solutions
• Operate and maintain existing security technologies while implementing new solutions
• Develop and improve enterprise security policies, procedures, standards, and practices
• Partner with IT and business teams to develop mitigation plans and remediate security issues
• Troubleshoot network access issues that may indicate potential security violations
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors, examiners, vendors, and management
• Support regulatory compliance and ensure security activities align with organizational policies
• Lead or contribute to technical security implementation projects
• Provide security awareness and data-security training to employees, management, and volunteers

• What We’re Looking For
• 8+ years of experience in network security, information security, cybersecurity, or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
• Security+ and/or CISSP certification
• Additional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or similar are highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of computer network administration and network security
• Demonstrated experience with forensic analysis and root-cause investigation
• Experience conducting security assessments, audits, testing, and remediation
• Proven ability to lead technical implementations and security projects
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams, management, vendors, auditors, and regulatory agencies

Initial Training:

Candidates will work onsite 5 days per week for approximately 4–6 weeks for training and cross-training.

After Training:

Hybrid schedule with the flexibility to choose which 3 days per week you work onsite.

Relevant military experience is welcomed and considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
