Senior Security Analyst

Fulcrum Technology Solutions are helping a client that is seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst to join a growing cybersecurity operations team. This is a hands-on operational security role focused on monitoring, investigating, and resolving security events while continuously improving the organization's security posture. The ideal candidate is technically strong, enjoys mentoring junior analysts, and takes a proactive approach to threat detection and response.

This person MUST be located in Texas. It is REMOTE TEXAS.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve security alerts and operational security tickets.
• Perform security event triage and determine appropriate remediation actions.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve threat hunting capabilities and detection strategies.
• Monitor security events and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce organizational risk.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior security analysts.
• Assist with improving security operations processes, workflows, and documentation.
• Participate in incident investigations and support response efforts as needed.
• Stay current on emerging threats, attack techniques, and defensive best practices.

• Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of cybersecurity or information security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of security operations, incident analysis, and threat detection.
• Experience investigating and resolving security incidents in an enterprise environment.
• Ability to analyze security events and determine appropriate remediation actions.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior security professionals.
• One or more industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP, or equivalent.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within the healthcare industry.
• Experience with CrowdStrike technologies, particularly CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM.
• Experience with threat hunting methodologies and continuous security improvement initiatives.
