Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Master Data Lead / SME with 12+ years of experience supporting complex SAP environments and large-scale S/4HANA transformation programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional expertise across Material/Article, Vendor/Business Partner, and related master data domains, with strong experience in data governance, migration, quality, integration, and business process alignment.
This role will be responsible for driving master data requirements and ensuring accurate, consistent, and business-ready data across Oracle PDH and SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and support S/4HANA master data processes across:
Article / Material Master
Vendor / Business Partner
Product and related reference/master data domains
Define and validate master data requirements, business rules, field mappings, transformations, and data quality standards.
Own functional design and validation of master data integration between Oracle Product Data Hub (PDH) and SAP S/4HANA.
Work with business and technical teams to define source-to-target mappings, data ownership, validation rules, dependencies, and exception handling.
Apply SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) principles and best practices to establish strong governance processes, even where SAP MDG is not currently implemented.
Define governance standards around data creation, maintenance, approvals, stewardship, controls, and lifecycle management.
Support end-to-end data migration activities, including data profiling, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, mock conversions, reconciliation, and cutover.
Partner with migration and integration teams to identify and resolve complex data issues across legacy, Oracle PDH, and S/4HANA systems.
Support SIT, UAT, regression testing, mock cutovers, and production readiness for master data processes.
Perform root-cause analysis and drive resolution of master data defects, integration failures, and data quality issues.
Define and monitor data quality controls, completeness, consistency, uniqueness, and accuracy metrics.
Ensure master data designs align with S/4HANA standards, enterprise architecture, and business process requirements.
Collaborate closely with business process owners, SAP functional teams, integration teams, data migration teams, and enterprise architects.
Provide SME guidance on master data design decisions, governance standards, and S/4HANA best practices throughout the transformation.

Required Qualifications
12+ years of SAP master data experience, including significant experience with SAP transformation programs.
Strong hands-on functional expertise in SAP S/4HANA master data.
Deep experience with:
Material / Article Master
Vendor Master / Business Partner
Product and related enterprise master data
Data governance and stewardship
Data migration and conversion
Data quality and validation
Strong understanding of SAP Business Partner and S/4HANA master data architecture.
Experience defining source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, validation logic, and data quality controls.
Experience integrating SAP with enterprise master data or product data platforms; Oracle PDH experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of SAP MDG concepts, governance frameworks, workflows, ownership, and approval models, even where MDG is not implemented.
Experience supporting SIT, UAT, mock conversions, cutover, reconciliation, and post-go-live stabilization.
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable master data designs and governance processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale S/4HANA greenfield or transformation programs.
Retail or consumer-industry experience involving Article Master is highly desirable.
Experience working with Oracle PDH / Product Hub.
Experience establishing master data governance operating models without a dedicated SAP MDG implementation.
Strong understanding of enterprise data ownership, stewardship, controls, and governance frameworks.
Experience working across global business, technology, integration, and data teams.
