Senior Machine Learning Engineer

2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating production machine learning systems that enable durable product capabilities. The role focuses on personalization, recommendations, optimization, experimentation, model training, and supporting ML development platforms. This position contributes by advancing the deployment and operation of machine learning models that impact the organization''s products.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and operate end-to-end machine learning systems including feature generation, training, evaluation, deployment, inference, and retraining.
• Develop production capabilities for personalization, recommendations, ranking, optimization, contextual decisioning, experimentation, and measurement.
• Build reusable ML platforms, pipelines, frameworks, and tooling to improve reproducibility, self-service, reliability, and development speed.
• Manage operational lifecycle of production models, including observability, data and model quality, drift detection, performance monitoring, failure handling, retraining, and governance.
• Collaborate with ML practitioners and Data and Product teams to integrate systems into products and platform.
• Provide technical leadership on ML architecture and distributed systems, balancing model performance, reliability, scalability, development speed, and operational complexity.

4. Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software or machine learning engineering experience.
• Proven experience building, deploying, and operating machine learning systems in production.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including system design, APIs, testing, deployment, and maintainable production code.
• Experience designing distributed systems, large-scale data-processing workflows, or high-throughput and low-latency services.
• Fluency across the ML lifecycle including data pipelines, training, evaluation, serving, monitoring, and retraining.
• Ability to investigate production issues involving models, data, code, and infrastructure.
• Capacity to lead complex technical work, navigate ambiguity, and make long-term architectural decisions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across ML, data engineering, analytics, and product teams.
• Commitment to elevating team capabilities through mentorship and shared engineering practices.
• Availability during U.S. core business hours and willingness to travel for meetings.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

Pay range is $160,000 to $190,000 USD.
