iVision Consulting is hiring a Senior IT Analyst to support our client onsite at the City of Annapolis (Annapolis, Maryland).

Position is required to be onsite in Annapolis, Maryland.

What You Will Do:

  • Software Development & Systems
  • Coordinates, reviews, develops, and enhances software application projects and central software systems
  • Analyzes and evaluates current and proposed systems across the full development life cycle (planning, requirements, design, acquisition, development, integration, deployment, tuning, testing, and training)
  • Translates business requirements into detailed system and program specifications
  • Performs application troubleshooting and implements solutions
  • Data & Reporting
  • Develops data reporting tools and performs analysis to deliver accurate, timely, actionable information
  • Evaluates long-range data requirements and produces cost analyses of potential IT initiatives
  • Planning & Advisory
  • Recommends cost-effective, data-driven solutions that maximize available resources and technology
  • Plans for equipment needs and recommends acquisition priorities
  • Prescribes corrective measures to ensure positive data flow from input to output
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepares and directs documentation at all project stages, from planning through implementation
  • Ensures compliance with, and may develop, organizational standards relative to specific assignments
  • Supervision & Coordination
  • Supervises and participates in systems analysis, programming, and procedural development
  • Coordinates activities across systems, programming, and operational personnel
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitates meetings with vendors, stakeholders, and technical staff; serves as liaison between functional and technical teams
  • Works extensively with internal teams, clients, and vendors, providing subject matter expertise and hands-on implementation support
  • Develops and coordinates training programs for users and software personnel
  • A natural collaborator who builds trust and brings people together.

What You Need:

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in systems analysis and technology project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 or equivalent enterprise office suite applications
  • Experience in Tyler EERP (Munis) administration preferred
  • Familiarity with payroll systems, government accounting principles, and related terminology also preferred
  • Implementation experience in complex IT software projects preferred
  • Leadership & Supervision
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience overseeing systems analysis, development, or implementation
