- Role: Senior Healthcare Informatics Analyst – Medicare Advantage
- Location: 100% Remote – Approved States Only
- Contract: 6+ months, with possible extension
- Interview: Two video interviews
- Equipment: Candidate must use their own equipment
- Position Overview
- We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Informatics Analyst with strong, hands-on Medicare Advantage trend analysis experience. This individual will analyze healthcare utilization, patient outcomes, provider performance, medical costs, risk-adjusted revenue, and patient/provider engagement.
- The analyst will collaborate with business and IT teams to support strategic planning, solve complex problems, and develop data-driven healthcare solutions.
- Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated Medicare Advantage trend-analysis experience
- Minimum four years of healthcare analytics, healthcare IT, or management-consulting experience
- Experience developing predictive models in a healthcare environment
- Strong SQL and at least one of the following: SAS, R, or Python
- Experience with healthcare data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare delivery system within a payer or provider environment
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, statistics, economics, analytics, computer science, or a related field
- Four additional years of relevant experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree
- Highly Preferred Experience
- SAS Enterprise Miner
- Outcome-research or controlled-study design
- Provider payment methodologies
- Population health management
- Medicare Advantage risk adjustment and revenue optimization
- Medical cost and utilization management
- Clinical groupers such as DRG, APC, ETG, MEG, DxCG, and HCC
- Healthcare quality measures, including HEDIS and AHRQ
- Commercial and Medicare Advantage risk optimization
- Master’s degree in a related discipline
