We’re partnering with a growing, multi-site advanced manufacturing company to add a Senior FP&A Analyst to its corporate finance team. The organization supports customers across a variety of high-growth and highly technical industries, including aerospace & defense, semiconductor, medical, industrial, and other advanced technology markets.
The company has expanded significantly over the past several years and operates multiple manufacturing locations across North America. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to both corporate-level FP&A and the operational side of a manufacturing business.
Responsibilities
- Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Build and maintain financial models used for forecasting, scenario analysis, and business planning.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages, including P&L analysis, KPI reporting, and budget-to-actual results.
- Analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, headcount, and other key business drivers.
- Partner with accounting and operational leaders to understand financial performance and explain key variances.
- Work with individual manufacturing locations to analyze site-level performance, profitability, and operating trends.
- Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses to support management decision-making.
- Consolidate financial and operational data from multiple locations and systems.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and communicate findings to finance leadership.
- Help improve existing FP&A processes, reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models.
- Support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and other special projects as the company continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical experience.
- Advanced Excel skills are an absolute must. Candidates should be highly comfortable working with large datasets, using advanced formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and creating clean, scalable reporting tools.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
- Ability to work with large amounts of financial and operational data and turn that information into meaningful analysis.
- Strong understanding of the P&L and key business drivers; experience with balance sheet and cash flow forecasting is a plus.
- Experience working in a multi-site or multi-entity environment is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance leaders.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where priorities can move quickly.
- The Opportunity
- This role offers a nice combination of financial modeling, corporate FP&A, and operational finance. The Senior FP&A Analyst will have visibility across multiple business units and manufacturing locations and will work closely with leadership as the organization continues to scale.
It’s a good fit for someone who doesn’t want to simply maintain reports, but wants to dig into the numbers, understand what is driving the business, and help leadership make better decisions.
