Position Overview:

  • Seeking a hands-on Senior Analyst to support Finance Operations through financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement. This role will work across multiple finance functions, using financial and operational data to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, improve reporting, and support key business initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial and operational activity across billing, invoicing, cash application, accounts receivable, collections, refunds, and other transaction-based processes.
  • Prepare and maintain recurring financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, reconciliations, and analytical workpapers for management.
  • Reconcile operational data to the general ledger and financial records, investigate variances, and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including account reconciliations, accrual support, reporting schedules, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends, exceptions, inefficiencies, and potential financial or operational risks.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and operational analysis and translate findings into clear, actionable information for Finance and business leadership.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, business cases, workload analysis, and other financial planning initiatives.
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Enhance spreadsheets, reporting packages, templates, and reconciliations while identifying opportunities to automate manual processes.
  • Participate in finance system implementations and enhancements, including requirements gathering, process documentation, data validation, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Establish and maintain organized procedures, documentation, data definitions, and audit trails for recurring financial processes.
  • Partner with Accounting, Financial Reporting, Treasury, IT, Internal Controls, and other departments to resolve financial and operational issues.
  • Assist with internal controls, audit requests, and remediation activities while ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
  • Take ownership of projects and assignments, manage multiple priorities, and follow issues through to resolution.
  • Perform additional analysis and special projects as needed.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, finance operations, financial analytics, or a related environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience building financial models, analytical workpapers, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger activity, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls.
  • Experience working with large data sets and identifying trends, discrepancies, and root causes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
