Senior Financial Analyst

  • SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic business partner
  • to the Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams by providing
  • financial planning, analysis, forecasting, and business insights that drive
  • profitable growth and operational excellence. This role is responsible for
  • analyzing financial and operational performance, identifying opportunities for cost
  • savings and process improvements, supporting capital investment decisions, and
  • delivering actionable business intelligence to leadership. The Senior Financial
  • Analyst plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional
  • initiatives that support the company's strategic objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • • Support development and consolidation of the annual operating budget and
  • long-range financial plans.
  • • Analyze budget-to-actual performance and identify key business drivers,
  • risks, and opportunities.
  • • Prepare financial reports, management presentations, and executive-level
  • analyses.
  • • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance
  • dashboards.
  • • Perform financial analysis of manufacturing operations, including labor,
  • material, overhead, and inventory performance.
  • • Analyze manufacturing variances, plant efficiencies, yields, and operational
  • metrics.
  • • Partner with leadership to identify cost-reduction opportunities and
  • operational improvements.
  • • Support standard cost development, maintenance, and costing analyses.
  • • Evaluate logistics, warehousing, and supply chain initiatives to improve
  • profitability and service levels.
  • • Develop and enhance business intelligence tools, dashboards, and
  • automated reporting solutions.
  • • Utilize SAP and other reporting systems to provide actionable insights and
  • improve decision-making.
  • • Support reporting standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • • Partner with Finance, IT, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to improve
  • data quality, reporting capabilities, and system utilization.
  • • Perform financial evaluations of capital investment opportunities, including
  • ROI, NPV, IRR, payback, and post-implementation reviews.
  • • Support capital appropriation and strategic planning processes.
  • • Conduct pricing, customer profitability, product profitability, and market
  • analyses.
  • • Perform external benchmarking and competitive financial analysis.
  • • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting
  • efficiencies.
  • • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • • Assist with implementation, upgrades, and optimization of financial and
  • operational systems.
  • • Participate in other projects and initiatives as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
  • field required.
  • • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Experience
  • • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A),
  • cost accounting, or operational finance.
  • • Manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), food manufacturing, or
  • supply chain finance experience strongly preferred.
  • • Experience supporting multi-site operations preferred.
  • Skills
  • • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot
  • tables, Power Query, and data analysis tools.
  • • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, including financial reporting,
  • cost analysis, inventory management, and operational reporting.
  • • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data
  • visualization tools preferred.
  • • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and
  • performance management.
  • • Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable
  • business recommendations.
  • • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the
  • organization.
  • • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • • Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

RELATIONSHIPS:

  • • Reports directly to the Finance Manager.
  • • Partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, Plant
  • Leadership, and Executive Leadership teams.
  • • Collaborates with external auditors, consultants, and other business partners
  • as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to

  • must be able to communicate effectively in English and perform work using
