  • Position Overview - Senior Financial Analyst (Corporate Development & Finance)
  • We are seeking a bright, motivated Senior Financial Analyst with strong corporate finance fundamentals, data analysis, and excellent interpersonal skills to join our growing team. This high-visibility role sits at the intersection of Corporate Development and Finance, offering hands-on execution experience in M&A, lending, and strategic initiatives including joint ventures and partnerships. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Financial Modeling: Support the Corporate Development and Finance functions by developing, maintaining, and stress-testing complex corporate, operational, and project-finance models.
  • • Build M&A models to evaluate acquisitions across varying deal structures; including residual portfolio purchases, earnout arrangements, performance-based bonuses, and hybrid loan/acquisition frameworks.
  • • Model deal economics such as closing multiples, outlay schedules, payment timelines, and equipment credits to support negotiation and structuring decisions
  • • Develop flexible, assumption-driven models (e.g., dynamic Excel workbooks with linked assumptions, outlay, and payment timeline tabs) that adapt to deal-specific variables and scenario changes
  • • Partner with cross-functional departments (Legal, Operations, Sales, and Finance) to build ad hoc financial models supporting a range of project types, from credit facility structuring to portfolio boarding and acquisition due diligence
  • • Stress test models under varying assumptions (e.g., churn, volume fluctuations, funding costs) to assess downside risk and deal sensitivity across different transaction structures
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large, disparate data sets to identify trends, benchmark performance, and surface actionable insights that inform deal decisions and strategic planning.
  • • Analyze large, disparate data sets across processing platforms (Fiserv/First Data, TSYS, Copilot) to identify trends, benchmark performance, and surface insights that inform deal decisions and strategic planning
  • • Clean and normalize inconsistent data formats and line items from multiple sources into standardized, analysis-ready datasets
  • • Verify accuracy by cross-checking figures against source documents and historical data, flagging discrepancies before they inform deal terms
  • • Audit data for signs of tampering, manual alteration, or inconsistencies — particularly for data from third parties with a financial stake in the numbers
  • • Build scalable, repeatable processes to manage high-volume, multi-period data sets efficiently
  • Transaction Execution: Actively participate in all aspects of the deal process, including designing valuation models to evaluate M&A, lending, partnership, and strategic investment opportunities.
  • • Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the transaction, managing communication and maintaining momentum from term sheet through close
  • • Work through due diligence items in coordination with Legal, tracking outstanding items and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
  • • Identify red flags and issues in financial, operational, or legal data early, surfacing risks that could impact deal terms or viability
  • • Support Legal in resolving open issues and negotiating terms, helping drive documentation and structuring work needed to get deals across the finish line
  • • Maintain end-to-end ownership of the transaction lifecycle, ensuring alignment between financial modeling, legal terms, and business objectives at every stage

Qualifications

  • • Education: BA/BS degree with demonstrated coursework in Finance, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
  • • Experience: 2–4 years of relevant full-time work experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, or Transaction Advisory Services.
  • • Data & Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced data functions (e.g., XLOOKUP, FILTER, INDEX/MATCH, Dynamic Arrays, and Pivot Tables). Power BI experience is a plus.
  • • Modeling Background: Prior experience building or auditing three-statement financial models and discounted cash flow (DCF) valuations is highly preferred.
  • • Analytical Rigor: Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and analytical skills with uncompromising attention to detail.
  • What We're Looking For
  • • Self-Starter: Highly organized and able to multitask, manage competing priorities, and execute with limited supervision.
  • • Composure Under Pressure: Comfortable operating as part of a lean, agile team with high visibility among senior management.
  • • Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data into concise executive summaries or presentations.
  • • Curiosity & Adaptability: Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly grasp new industries, business models, and technical concepts.
