Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

• We are seeking an experienced finance professional to support financial planning, reporting, accounting, cash management, and internal controls. This role will work closely with senior finance leadership and have broad exposure to financial operations, budgeting, month-end close, reporting, banking activities, and audit coordination.
• The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced professional services environment.

• What You'll Be Doing Day to Day
• This is a hands-on finance role with a combination of accounting, FP&A, reporting, cash management, and internal-control responsibilities. You’ll be involved in the monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, audit coordination, and ongoing analysis while partnering with senior finance and business leaders.

• Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review monthly and year-end financial reports and closing activities.
• Analyze balance sheet accounts, cash activity, general ledger accounts, and trial balances.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor bank accounts, cash activity, wire receipts, and multi-currency transactions.
• Coordinate banking activities and communicate with financial institutions as needed.
• Support debt-related accounting, credit facility fees, and related payments.
• Lead and coordinate financial audit activities, including serving as a primary contact for auditors and managing information requests.
• Prepare monthly management reporting, financial analyses, and firm statistics.
• Support the annual budgeting process by working with department leaders to develop and refine budgets.
• Prepare expense allocation schedules and assist with insurance and other corporate financial activities.
• Review and approve bank reconciliations and monitor outstanding transactions.
• Oversee escrow account activity, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Prepare and review cash reports and related internal-control documentation.
• Manage rent, sublease, and other recurring financial transactions.
• Assist with financial reporting systems, Excel-based reporting models, and business intelligence initiatives.
• Support special projects and financial analyses requested by senior management.
• Coordinate financial activities across multiple offices and business units.
• Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Approximately 5-7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience.
• Strong experience with financial analysis, month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and ideally macros.
• Experience with financial modeling and business intelligence/reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and internal controls.
• Experience working with banking and cash-management activities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Preferred Experience
• Experience in a professional services, financial services, or similar environment.
• Experience with enterprise accounting systems.
• Experience with BI tools, SQL, or data/reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with modified cash-basis accounting.
• Exposure to automation or AI tools used in finance and reporting.
• Professional certification or advanced degree is a plus.
