CAC is recruiting on behalf of prominent publicly traded real estate company known for its innovative and sustainable developments. The successful candidate will be a CPA with public company reporting experience and strong technical IFRS knowledge. They will thrive in a dynamic environment, contribute to key financial reporting and compliance activities, and bring a continuous improvement mindset, supported by strong analytical and technology capabilities

Key responsibilities and oversight:

  • • Preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with IFRS and public company standards including balance sheet, income statement, KPIs and covenants
  • • Support ERP, technology improvements for finance and accounting system
  • • Own the internal and external audit processes and key point of contact with auditors
  • • Support cash management, acquisition and operating expenses including managing multiple online banking platforms
  • • Assisting with financial analysis for strategic decision-making.
  • • Contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processes and controls.
  • • Maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements by researching, applying accounting policies and ensuring best practices are applied throughout finance and accounting
  • • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support corporate initiatives including acquisitions

The successful candidate will possess:

  • • CPA designation with public company reporting experience.
  • • Strong technical skills, particularly in IFRS, consolidation, financial statement and MD&A
  • • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • • Experience supporting or overseeing financial compliance functions.
  • • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting.
  • • Resourceful in use of technology including research and support in delivering results
