We're looking for a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll take ownership of premium and claims financial reporting for various insurance carrier programs. You'll be responsible for reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and working closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.

  • What You'll Do
  • Premium & Claims Management
  • Reconcile premium collections against monthly insurance reports (Bordereau/BDX reports) and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Ensure premiums are collected and deposited into the correct trust accounts.
  • Monitor claims payments and premium remittances to ensure contractual deadlines are met.
  • Recommend solutions and corrective actions when issues arise.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Prepare and submit monthly BDX reports to insurance carriers within required deadlines.
  • Create and maintain reconciliation reports, ensuring data accuracy across multiple systems and sources.
  • Analyze premium and claims activity to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare reports that highlight outstanding issues, aging items, and remediation efforts.
  • Respond to internal and external reporting requests and investigate root causes of reporting discrepancies.
  • Account Reconciliation & Systems Management
  • Manage premium trust subledger accounts and ensure timely application of payments.
  • Partner with the Accounting team to coordinate treasury activities and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and banking transactions.
  • Complete detailed account reconciliations using Excel and accounting systems.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and external financial partners.
  • Provide accurate, validated financial information and ensure a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally to support balance sheet integrity and process improvements.
  • What You'll Bring
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 5+ years of accounting, finance, or financial analysis experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing financial reconciliations.
  • Ability to perform data extraction, analysis, and reporting across multiple systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred Skills
  • Advanced to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query.
  • Experience creating reconciliation and data-matching reports.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to investigate and resolve issues independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
