  • Our client is a PE-backed media company in New York City seeking a Corporate FP&A Analyst, this is a high-impact, high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of finance, operations, and corporate strategy.

We are looking for a Strategic Storyteller who can dive into complex datasets, extract the signal from the noise, and build narratives that drive alignment across the executive team and BOD.

MUST BE IN TRI-STATE AREA // VERY FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE // 1ish DAYS ONSITE WEEKLY

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across the organization, building compelling financial narratives around performance and trends to drive consensus among senior stakeholders
  • Support bid and proposal processes with financial modeling, pricing analysis, and scenario planning
  • Serve as a CFO force multiplier, providing high-velocity support including ad-hoc modeling for capital events, Board-level presentations, and what-if scenario analysis
  • Manage and evolve a Tableau and Excel environment with a focus on speed, clarity, and the 80/20 rule: actionable insights today beat perfect data next week
  • Leverage SQL, Power Query, and AI tools (including Claude) to automate workflows and maximize capacity for deep-dive analysis

Requirements

  • 2+ years in corporate FP&A, budgeting/forecasting, or high-intensity finance
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into simple, persuasive narratives in both slide decks and live presentations
  • Advanced Excel and Tableau skills are a must
  • Comfort leveraging AI tools like Claude to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Self-starting, high-output mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities without losing sight of the big picture
