This position is mostly remote, however we will require someone who can be on site occasionally as needed.
We are working with a leading healthcare provider to hire a Senior Epic Application Analyst. You will be responsible for advancing the functionality and operational efficiency of Information Systems through your expertise in Epic applications. This role performs intermediate to advanced analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation while ensuring technology is effectively integrated into clinical and business workflows.
The Senior Epic Application Analyst provides ongoing analysis, consultation, complex problem-solving, collaboration, and application support to users. This individual also contributes to system training, serves as a technical resource for Epic applications, and assumes higher-level project responsibilities.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Epic Certification required.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience with large-scale systems development and implementation within Healthcare Information Systems (MIS), or similar experience involving system analysis, design, build, testing, and implementation.
- Working knowledge of hospital and healthcare operations.
- Experience working within a large, complex corporate Information System environment.
- Previous Epic or other Healthcare Information Systems experience required.
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting complex system and application issues.
- Experience assisting and mentoring other analysts.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools, and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.
- Principal Accountabilities
- Systems Development
- Translates user and departmental Epic system requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Performs project reviews and process walkthroughs incorporating technical, clinical, and business solutions.
- Identifies opportunities to improve user productivity, workflows, and departmental service levels.
- Technical Administration
- Provides technical expertise in the support of Epic and other software applications and operating systems.
- Performs intermediate to advanced analysis, design, configuration, building, testing, and implementation of Epic applications and other systems.
- Demonstrates and applies information systems theories, processes, and methodologies.
- Technical Standards
- Helps establish and enforce technical development, application support, and information management standards.
- Promotes consistent technical practices across Information Systems and partnering departments.
- Application Support
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of Epic applications and techniques used to support development projects and complex problem-solving efforts.
- Provides ongoing Epic application support to end users.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex application and workflow issues.
- Participates in after-hours technical support through a rotating on-call schedule.
- Planning & Coordination
- Develops, prioritizes, and executes projects according to established schedules and timelines.
- Maintains effective coordination across assigned projects and stakeholders.
- Documents and reports project plans, priorities, schedules, and progress.
- Regularly communicates project and assignment status to management.
- Training
- Contributes to the development and delivery of Epic training sessions for staff.
- Provides guidance and knowledge sharing to users and less experienced team members.

- Maintains strong communication and interpersonal relationships with technical, clinical, and business stakeholders.
