Role Description:

Cogniforge Global is seeking a skilled Databricks Data Engineer for a contract position based in Atlanta, GA. This is an onsite role where the Data Engineer will design, implement, and maintain data infrastructure utilizing Databricks. Responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines, creating and managing ETL processes, performing data modeling, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making. The role requires maintaining data quality, ensuring data security, and supporting data analytics initiatives while contributing to business objectives and improving data utilization strategies.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Data Engineering, including building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Data Engineering, Extract Transform Load (ETL), and Data Warehousing techniques.
• Experience in Data Analytics, with the ability to derive actionable insights and support decision-making processes.
• Expertise in Databricks platform and tools, as well as other cloud ecosystems like Microsoft Azure or AWS, is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Ability to collaborate across teams in a dynamic environment, effectively communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala is advantageous.
• Familiarity with modern machine learning workflows and foundation model integration is a bonus.
