Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will combine advanced SQL expertise, automation capabilities, and strong data visualization skills with practical knowledge of Market Risk or Counterparty Risk. This individual will help develop scalable regulatory reporting frameworks, automate manual processes, modernize legacy SQL-based solutions, and improve how complex risk and reporting data is presented to business and regulatory stakeholders.

• Data visualization is a key priority for this position. The successful candidate should be able to translate complex datasets, risk measures, reporting exceptions, and data-quality indicators into clear, actionable dashboards and analytical views.
• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain regulatory reporting solutions supporting Market Risk and Counterparty Risk reporting requirements.
• Support the preparation and delivery of FR Y-14Q, CCAR, and other regulatory or management reports.
• Develop sustainable reporting frameworks that incorporate regulatory rules, data mappings, calculations, validations, controls, reconciliations, and audit trails.
• Use advanced SQL to extract, transform, reconcile, validate, and analyze large volumes of risk and financial data.
• Create automated workflows that reduce manual effort, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen the overall control environment.
• Build high-quality dashboards and visualizations that communicate risk exposures, reporting trends, data-quality issues, exceptions, and key performance indicators.
• Support the migration of legacy SQL-based reporting and processing workflows to modern application and data-engineering frameworks, including Java-based ETL solutions.
• Evaluate and implement modern analytics platforms, including Microsoft Fabric and similar data ecosystems.
• Develop or support semantic layers that provide consistent business definitions, calculations, and governed access to regulatory reporting data.
• Explore the responsible use of new AI-enabled tools to improve data analysis, reporting automation, documentation, anomaly detection, and operational efficiency.
• Required Qualifications
• Strong hands-on SQL experience, including complex queries, joins, aggregations, stored procedures, performance tuning, data validation, and large-dataset analysis.
• Demonstrated experience automating reporting, data-processing, reconciliation, or control activities.
• Strong data visualization experience, with the ability to design clear and effective dashboards for senior management, business users, risk teams, and control functions.
• Experience developing or enhancing regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Knowledge of data controls, reconciliation, lineage, governance, and reporting-quality standards.
• Experience working with Market Risk or Counterparty Risk data, processes, products, or reporting.
• Understanding regulatory reporting processes, preferably including FR Y-14Q, CCAR, or related Federal Reserve reporting requirements.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including components such as Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, Power BI, or OneLake.
• Experience with advanced analytics platforms, Fabric-like data ecosystems, governed semantic models, or enterprise semantic layers.
• Experience migrating legacy SQL-based workflows to modern application frameworks or Java-based ETL processes.
• Proficiency with Power BI or another enterprise data visualization platform.
• Familiarity with modern AI tools and their practical use in analytics, automation, data-quality monitoring, reporting, or software development.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, APIs, and modern ETL/ELT architecture.
• Experience in banking, financial services, capital markets, or a regulated financial institution.
• Familiarity with regulatory change management, audit controls, issue of remediation, and regulatory examination support.

• The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
