2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design and management of reporting and application integration architecture. This role is essential for developing and maintaining complex reporting systems that connect deeply with the organization''s applications. It focuses on optimizing report generation, ensuring end-to-end integration, and improving data workflows to support public health reporting needs.
3. Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain paginated reports and reporting solutions across multiple platforms including Power BI Report Server and Power BI Service.
- Manage the integration of reports and embedded analytics with the application, including authentication and parameter passing.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Support Python-based data pipeline and analytics tooling.
- Automate report generation, scheduling, and delivery.
- Develop monitoring systems for data quality, anomaly detection, and service level agreements.
- Enhance report and query performance through instrumentation and benchmarking.
4. Requirements:
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Power BI Paginated Reports and platforms such as PBIRS, Power BI Service, and Power BI Embedded.
- Hands-on experience embedding reports in client-facing applications and troubleshooting integration issues.
- Experience with enterprise reporting solutions in production.
- Proactive in keeping current with updates in the Microsoft Power BI ecosystem.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
$125,000 - $135,000 a year
