2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data models and pipelines that support product development, clinical analytics, and operational reporting. This role transforms raw data from diverse sources into accessible, well-structured datasets, directly influencing data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency across the organization.

3. Responsibilities:

  • • Design and build scalable, tested DBT data models.
  • • Develop and maintain reliable ELT pipelines using various languages and frameworks.
  • • Optimize SQL queries for performance and resolve bottlenecks.
  • • Enhance existing code patterns and establish new standards.
  • • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to meet data needs and align technical decisions.
  • • Document business logic and methodologies to ensure transparency and team collaboration.

4. Requirements:

  • • 5–7+ years in healthcare data or analytics engineering with expert-level SQL skills and solid data modeling knowledge.
  • • Proficient in dbt and orchestration tools.
  • • Experience with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, including SQL optimization.
  • • Skilled in designing scalable data models and implementing testing strategies.
  • • Familiarity with command line tools, version control, CI/CD, testing, and code review.
  • • Ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and communicate solutions clearly.
  • • Understanding of analytical impacts related to pipeline and model design.

Preferred:

  • • Proficiency in Python for automation and pipeline development.
  • • Experience with API-based and event-driven ingestion systems.
  • • Familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, SQS, SNS, and S3.
  • • Experience with FHIR resources and clinical systems.
  • • Experience using high-volume ingestion tools (e.g., Hevo, Fivetran).

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

  • • Base salary range of $150,000 - $180,000 plus annual bonus incentives.
  • • Eligibility for an employee equity purchase program as applicable.
  • • Compensation varies based on knowledge, skills, and experience.
