Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer (Contract) | Remote (Canada) | Long-Term Enterprise Program

Our client is seeking experienced Senior Data Engineers to join a major enterprise data transformation program focused on migrating data from multiple source systems into Workday.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale migration program, designing and building modern, scalable data solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

Previous Workday experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential. The client is primarily looking for experienced Data Engineers with strong expertise in enterprise data migration and modern cloud data platforms.

• You'll Be Doing
• Design and develop scalable data migration and integration solutions.
• Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and transform enterprise data.
• Develop data pipelines that migrate data from multiple enterprise source systems into Workday.
• Work extensively with Snowflake, Apache NiFi/OpenFlow, Python and SQL to deliver reliable, production-ready solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Data Engineers and wider delivery teams to support complex enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Ensure high levels of data quality, validation and performance throughout the migration lifecycle.

• What We're Looking For
• Proven experience working as a Senior Data Engineer on enterprise-scale data migration programs.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience developing integrations using Apache NiFi/OpenFlow.
• Strong SQL development skills, including Azure SQL and SQL Server.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise ETL/ELT solutions.
• A track record of building scalable, production-grade data pipelines within cloud environments.
• Experience working on Workday migration projects is a bonus, but not essential.

• Contract Details
• 100% Remote (Canada)
• Preference for candidates able to work Eastern Time hours
• 40 hours per week
• Long-term program with multiple phases planned
• Competitive hourly rates, dependent on experience
• Immediate interviews with August start dates
