- We're looking for a data-focused engineer with a strong operational mindset to support a global trading firm's Performance Team data platform. This role owns the reliability, accuracy, and efficiency of the data systems that underpin performance analysis and decision-making.
- It's a production-facing position, working alongside the Performance team and aligned stakeholders to keep data workflows robust, observable, and efficient.
- What you'll do
- Take ownership of the day-to-day operational health of the Performance Team's data platform
- Monitor and maintain ETLs and data pipelines for accuracy, timeliness, and stability
- Build and maintain data quality checks, reporting, and alerting tailored to performance data
- Diagnose and resolve data issues and pipeline failures, driving each to root cause
- Own and troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues tied to performance data workflows
- Track workloads and resource consumption, resolving imbalances and bottlenecks
- Develop operational tooling, automation, and runbooks
- Continuously tune pipelines and workloads to improve throughput and resource efficiency
- What you bring
- 3+ years in software or data engineering with an operational/production focus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline strongly preferred
- Strong Python skills, including hands-on work with PySpark and Pandas
- Track record supporting production ETL or data processing systems
- Comfort with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tooling (GitLab preferred)
- Sharp analytical skills and a high bar for detail
- Willingness to take ownership in an environment where performance and reliability are critical
- Nice to have
- Background in performance-critical or high-throughput systems
- Exposure to workload scheduling, resource management, or cluster-based compute

- Performance data pipelines are reliable, observable, and trusted across the business
- Problems are caught early and closed out quickly with clear root-cause ownership
- Workloads stay well-balanced and systems run efficiently
